We’re hiring an experienced construction professional to join our Methods Team on a major contract with Sir Robert McAlpine, delivering a cutting-edge £800 million + 15GWh lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility. The Methods Team is a dedicated pre-construction function that is vital in reducing safety, construction, and commercial risks.

Responsibilities
* Report to the Logistics Manager and focus on developing practical, efficient, and safe construction methods.
* Review and input to the constructability of the permanent design.
* Draw up the structural works execution strategy.
* Prepare a Methods and Plant preparation schedule.
* Participate in technical/price studies for different construction solutions for the structure.
* Set execution methods (method sequencing, operating procedures, phasing, cycles) in line with the Programme and Quality-Safety-Environment rules.
* Carry out studies regarding site installations and lifting equipment in close collaboration with the lifting team.
* Determine plant resources needed for steelwork erection, cladding installation, M&E logistical movements and safety.
* Provide monitoring and inspection of manufacturers of special plant/equipment: consultation, ordering, checking calculation notes and fabrication drawings, factory acceptance, dummy assembly, and packaging.
* Manage Methods technicians/engineers and draughtsperson.
* Monitor technical risk studies (Methods) for the project.
Your profile / Qualifications
* Engineering degree; professional membership in construction engineering (e.g., ICE, IStructE, MCIOB) preferred.
* Experience on large construction projects (£100m+).
* Knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite.
* AutoCAD skills to review or sketch designs preferred; ability to learn software quickly.
* Coordination and negotiation skills; technically minded with commercial awareness.
* Methodical, authoritative, tenacious, and responsible.
