A well-regarded school in St Albans is seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to join its Reception team on a full-time, long-term basis with the potential for a permanent contract. About the Role
As a Reception Teacher, you will work collaboratively within a dedicated EYFS team to deliver high-quality, play-based learning experiences that support each child’s development and curiosity. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on the early education of young children, helping them build essential skills for the future while fostering a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with EYFS principles
* Create a continuous provision environment that fosters independence, creativity, and exploration
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and progression across the Reception year group
* Actively support pupil wellbeing, including engaging with children during playground duties
* Maintain open and effective communication with staff, children, and families
* Lead or assist with weekly extracurricular clubs and activities
* Monitor and record pupil progress, celebrating achievements and identifying next steps
* Attend weekly staff meetings and contribute to the wider school community
Ideal Candidate:
* Holds QTS or EYTS with experience teaching in the EYFS
* Passionate about early childhood education and child development
* Committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment
* Flexible, proactive, and a strong team player
