Primary Responsibility
Compile stock control records and information, such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
 Handle and pick goods and products through receiving, storing, loading and delivery.
List areas of daily and long-term responsibilities
 1. Receive goods from suppliers checking accuracy against delivery notes prior to unloading ensuring all damaged and missing goods are reported immediately
 2. Ensure online and counter orders placed are prepared accurately for collection according to invoice and picking lists
 3. Check accuracy of deliveries with incoming goods ensuring administration is equivalent to physical delivery reporting any discrepancies
 4. Ensure products are coded/labelled correctly and stored at the correct location
 5. Ensure stock rotation to minimize loss through short dated items
 6. Quarantine non-conforming products for investigation and further action
 7. Check vegetable list for correct quantity and quality
 8. Load goods accurately and safely to vehicles for dispatch
 9. Review not loaded item documentation and investigate for loss, damage or theft
 10. Liaise with relevant managers to ensure that stock negatives are resolved
 11. Investigate damaged items and take action accordingly
 12. Keep system updated with stock movements
 13. Determine slow selling items and make recommendations accordingly
 14. Coordinate and prepare for stock taking process
 15. Conduct cyclic count and resolve discrepancies and queries in a timely manner
 16. Ensure internal transfer procedures are being adhered to according to business requirements
 17. Provide feedback to enhance product performance and service delivery
 18. Seek to improve relations with regard to the provision of efficient communications to facilitate product development and issue management
 19. To ensure that the company internal/external customer care & equal opportunity policies are adhered to at all times.
 20. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for Health & Safety
 21. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business requirements
 22. Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as may be reasonably expected of the role and as necessary in order to achieve the objectives of the department and JJ Food Service goals.
 23. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Education
4 GCSE’s A-C including English and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications
Relevant work experience will be considered
Physical Requirements
Lifting: The job will involve manual handling (lifting or moving products or equipment). You will be provided with training to undertake manual handling safely, using the equipment provided where necessary.
Physical requirements: pushing, pulling the trolley to carry the above items occasionally.
Equipment: Pump trucks, forklifts, reach truck. You will be trained to use appropriate equipment depending on the load you are required to lift.
