GSL Education are hiring a caring and patient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in schools in Wakefield, covering the WF4 area. The 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA) will support a specific student with their learning, wellbeing, and classroom engagement under the guidance of teaching staff. Prime Responsibilities: Provide tailored 1:1 support to a designated student. Assist in delivering learning activities and adapting resources where required. Promote positive behaviour and encourage participation in lessons. Support the student’s social, emotional, and academic development. Follow safeguarding policies and school procedures at all times. Requirements of 1:1 Teaching Assistant: Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting. Patient, supportive, and empathetic approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Understanding of inclusive education and SEN support is desirable. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
