Role: Private Client Family Solicitor
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid
The Opportunity
As a Private Client Family Solicitor you will manage a varied caseload of family law matters while building trusted relationships with clients during some of the most important periods of their lives. Working alongside experienced family law specialists, you will advise on a range of matters including:
* Divorce and separation
* Financial remedy proceedings
* High‑value and complex financial settlements
* Private children matters
* Cohabitation disputes
* Pre‑ and post‑nuptial agreements
* Separation agreements
* Relationship breakdown involving business and property interests
The successful candidate will enjoy significant client contact, responsibility for their own matters, and the opportunity to work on complex and often high‑profile cases alongside recognised specialists in the field.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a caseload of privately funded family law matters from instruction through to conclusion.
* Providing strategic, commercially aware, and practical legal advice.
* Conducting client meetings and maintaining strong client relationships.
* Drafting legal documentation, court applications, witness statements, consent orders, and correspondence.
* Negotiating settlements and achieving positive outcomes for clients.
* Liaising with barristers, financial advisers, accountants, and other professional experts.
* Ensuring files are managed efficiently and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Contributing to business development and networking activities where appropriate.
Candidate Profile
