Employment Advisor
Salary: £31,930 per annum
Location: Islington
Are you passionate about making a difference and creating positive social impact? As a Restart Advisor, you will play a transformational role in coaching and empowering individuals. You will help participants unlock their potential and guide them toward sustainable employment, covering career coaching, personal development, and addressing complex challenges.
What you'll be doing:
1. Collaborating with participants through diagnostic assessments to identify barriers and create action plans that shift mindsets and outline steps to secure meaningful employment.
2. Meeting and exceeding performance targets by improving strategies and seeking input to deliver the best outcomes for participants and the community.
3. Understanding and signposting participants to internal and external services for needs such as debt management, mental health, and career coaching.
4. Helping participants craft professional CVs, tailored supporting statements, and cover letters to support their job searches.
5. Preparing participants for interviews through mock interviews and assessment activities, building their confidence.
6. Maintaining accurate electronic records reflecting the support provided, from coaching to employment placement, within required timescales and standards.
Requirements:
* Experience working in fast-paced environments.
* Ability to motivate, inspire, and challenge participants to reach their full potential.
* Proven success in delivering and exceeding performance targets, engaging participants in personal growth and mindset change.
* Exceptional communication skills to inspire and influence participants, addressing diverse needs with flexibility and creativity, and liaising with employers and stakeholders.
* Flexibility and creativity in solving complex challenges.
* High-level digital literacy.
* Excellent organizational skills to manage a varied caseload and deliver support while handling multiple priorities.
