Overview
Local hours available for experienced Care Assistants in the Buxton area. This home supports up to 20 elderly residents with a range of health conditions, including learning disabilities, dementia, and sensory impairments.
Responsibilities
As a Care Assistant, you will work day shifts and play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Your responsibilities will include following individual care plans, assisting with personal care, supporting residents with mobility and handling, and facilitating engaging activities that enhance their quality of life. The home is known for its warm and supportive environment, and you will work closely with both residents and fellow staff members, so a friendly and team-oriented approach is essential.
Schedule and Location
Immediate weekend shifts are available. You could be working hours on Saturday and/or Sunday with earlies or lates:
* 07:00 to 14:30
* 14:00 to 22:00
Pay
You will be paid £12.21 per hour for hours worked from 07:00 to 19:00 and will be paid an enhanced rate of £16.24 per hour for hours worked from 19:00 to 07:00. Your pay rate rises after working for a 13 week period.
Qualifications
* An Enhanced DBS Certificate that is registered on the update service
* Up to date mandatory training certificates
* Full up-to-date CV
* At least 2 professional references covering a minimum of 2 years working within formal care settings or community care
Additional Information
If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, we can help with online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep. Please note that we do not offer sponsorships. This role offers ongoing weekend work for the right candidate.
