Summary
We are seeking an experienced or part qualified Accounts Assistant to join our small and friendly team. This role is crucial in supporting our financial operations and ensuring accurate accounting practices that align with our commitment to quality and service. The role will provide support for our Finance Manager and Management Accountant and will encompass a wide variety of tasks across all skill levels.
Responsibilities
Assist with accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
* Utilize our own EFI accounting software for all financial transactions and processes.
* Perform data entry / basic administration tasks to maintain accurate financial records. Preparation of journals, credit control, purchasing etc
* Support monthly reconciliations and assist in preparing financial reports.
* Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
* Maintain organized documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
* Assist in managing vendor relationships and resolving discrepancies.
* Contribute to the overall financial health of the company through diligent support.
* Qualifications
Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role, with a strong understanding of accounts payable processes.
* Familiarity with financial services and accounting principles.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Good communication skills for collaboration within a team environment.
* AAT / CIMA or equivalent qualifications are desirable but not essential.
