Job Description: Area Manager at Amazon Fulfillment Centers

We are seeking Area Managers for our Fulfillment Centers (FCs). Amazon is a globally recognized brand, distributing millions of products annually to our customers.
Key Focus Areas
1. Safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your department.
2. Review work forecasts and determine productivity requirements to meet overall building objectives.
3. Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor, ensuring efficient shifts while meeting goals.
4. Support safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment.
5. Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Lead a team of warehouse associates responsible for fulfilling customer orders. Ensure proper training and address team members' needs to optimize performance.
Lead change at internet speed, fostering innovation to maintain our global leadership.
Additional Job Elements
* Physical activities such as bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
* Frequent walking and standing within large facilities.
* Work in environments that may be noisy, unlit, or not air-conditioned.
* Access all areas of the building safely, including ladders and stairs.
Skills Required
* Management experience overseeing employee performance.
* Experience with performance metrics and process improvement.
* Flexibility to work weekends and overnight shifts.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
* 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
* Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
* 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
