A vacancy has arisen for a relief library assistant with excellent customer service skills to work in our community libraries and at Library Headquarters. You will assist in the delivery of a range of library services to the community. You will be educated to standard grade or equivalent, be interested in literature and have good ICT skills. A flexible approach to the working week, which will include evening and weekend working, is essential. You will have good communication skills and the ability to work with people of all age groups and abilities. Previous library experience and knowledge of the Spydus Library Management System or equivalent is desirable, but applicants with a customer focussed attitude and good team-working skills should also apply. The successful candidate will be required to be complete a Level 1 Disclosure Scotland check.
