POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Senior Creative Production Artist with advanced Photoshop and reprographics expertise to join our team. This role is focused on FMCG consumer packaging and requires a strong understanding of colour development, image retouching, print techniques, and substrate-specific repro. The successful candidate will work closely with design, production, and print partners to deliver high-quality, print-ready artwork that meets both client brand standards and complex technical print requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop accurate, high-quality print artwork and repro files for FMCG packaging.
2. Perform advanced colour correction, image retouching, and file repro in Photoshop and Illustrator.
3. Adapt and optimise artwork for different print processes (e.g., flexo, gravure, litho, digital) and substrates (e.g., film, foil, board, label stock).
4. Apply technical knowledge of trapping, overprint, line weights, and ink limits to ensure print consistency.
5. Collaborate with printers, production teams, and clients to resolve technical challenges.
6. Creative graphical adaptation of artwork in line with brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.
7. Interpret and implement brand guidelines, regulatory requirements, and packaging specifications.
8. Support colour proofing, pre-press checks, and press approvals when required.
9. Maintain project tracking and ensure all deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
10. Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Arts, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
11. 6+ years of pre-press / reprographics experience in packaging, ideally FMCG.
12. Advanced Photoshop skills with proven experience in colour development and complex retouching.
13. Strong knowledge of print processes (flexo, gravure, litho, digital) and repro for multiple substrates.
14. Experience with trapping, overprint settings, separations, varnishes, and special finishes.
15. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat); knowledge of Esko ArtPro+ or similar a plus.
16. Excellent attention to detail, technical accuracy, and consistency.
17. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across design, production, and client teams.
18. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Additional Requirements
19. Flexibility to work occasional overtime when deadlines require.
20. Knowledge of colour management tools, proofing, and press-side processes preferred.
