HGV Service Supervisor – Ashford, Kent

We’re looking for a Supervisor to lead and work alongside a shift team, manage workflow, and ensure high‑quality results under tight deadlines.
Key responsibilities include:
* Work Allocation: Assign tasks to the most suitable Technician based on skills, experience, and availability.
* Team Oversight: Monitor progress, reallocate duties when necessary, and ensure jobs are completed on time and to a high standard.
* Customer & Manager Liaison: Communicate updates clearly and professionally, both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
* Quality Control: Check and sign off completed work, ensuring compliance with company policies and quality systems.
* Administration: Complete all relevant paperwork and job cards accurately.
* Workshop Supervision: Oversee staff performance, monitor timekeeping and productivity, authorise overtime, and identify training needs.
* Technical Support: Provide guidance and expertise to both workshop staff and external customers.
* Technical Expertise: Carry out service, repair, road testing, and fault diagnosis of vehicles.

* Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively
* Confident, professional manner with solid business awareness
* Strong ability to liaise with staff, Directors, and customers at all levels
* PC literate and comfortable with digital systems
