Overview
Raeburn Training is a young, dynamic Health and Safety Training company and are excited to recruit our first full-time, in-house Health & Safety Training Instructor. This is a key role within the business and an excellent opportunity to join a respected and growing training provider and support the next generation of industry professionals.
You will primarily deliver classroom-based health & safety training from our Kirkcaldy premises, with some delivery at client sites and community-based training academies across Central Scotland. You will also ensure that training material is maintained and used consistently by the associate instructor team.
The Role
You will deliver engaging, high-quality health & safety training to learners working in — or preparing to enter — sectors such as construction, engineering, manufacturing, and other operational environments. Whilst doing so ensuring that training meets the needs of the individuals as well as ensuring awarding body and company standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver a range of health & safety training, primarily awareness courses as well as some small plant and equipment training
· Deliver courses at our Kirkcaldy centre, surrounding client sites and external venues
· Support learners with mixed experience levels, including specialing in those new to industry.
· Support delivery of small plant and equipment training (where experienced)
· Maintain accurate training records and documentation
· Develop and maintain training material, ensuring remains compliant with industry bodies, awarding bodies and HSE.
· Maintain training consistency and standards across associate instructor pool.
· Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, representing the company in a profession manner.

About You
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Professional, approachable and confident in group settings
· Able to adapt delivery to neuro-diverse learners and varying support needs
· Well organised with strong time management skills
· Comfortable delivering practical training outdoors
· Competent in MS365 (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
· Committed to safeguarding, equality, health & safety and data protection standards
Qualifications & Experience
Any one of these qualifications –
· NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health
· NVQ/SVQ Level 3, 4, 5 or 6 in Occupational Safety and Health
· Health and Safety degree
· NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Part2, NEBOSH Units A, B, C and D
· Diploma Safety Management Level 6.
Plus –
· A minimum of three years of occupational experience in a construction or health & safety related management role, that you can evidence.
· Adult Teaching Qualification (AET) or equivalent
· Full UK driving licence
Preferable –
· Member of IOSH at Technical level or above
· First aid qualification
