The Role We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager Solar PV to take ownership of the technical delivery of our installations. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing installation teams, ensuring system designs are accurate and compliant, and maintaining the highest standards from design through to commissioning and handover. Key Responsibilities Oversee and support solar PV and battery storage installation teams across multiple projects Review and approve system designs, ensuring they are technically correct and compliant. Ensure all installations meet current standards and regulations (including MCS, DNO, G98/G99/G100 where applicable) Carry out site visits as required to resolve technical issues, assess feasibility, or support installers Oversee and manage snagging lists, ensuring defects are identified, tracked, and resolved efficiently Act as the main technical point of contact between design, installation, and management teams Support continuous improvement of installation processes, quality, and safety Provide technical guidance and mentoring to installers and junior team members About You Proven experience in solar PV and battery storage systems Strong technical knowledge across residential, commercial, and agricultural installations Experience managing or supervising installation teams Excellent understanding of compliance, standards, and best practice in the solar industry Confident conducting site inspections and resolving on-site technical challenges Highly organised, with strong problem-solving and communication skills A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on quality and performance Essential Criteria Fully qualified electrician 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certification Experience in the installation of Solar PV systems and EV Chargers Experience with commissioning and handover documentation as per MCS regulations.
