Talentedge are actively recruiting for a AP/AR Manager, paying £50-55k per annum for a growing global media business based in East London. The role offers hybrid working (3 days in the office per week)
Responsibilities
* Approx. 8 direct reports. All line management of the AR/AP/Timesheets and Expenses Teams
* Support and mentor all team members
* Oversee all output and manage workloads
* Own AP and AR month-end close activities, ensuring accurate balancing of the ledgers and timely close
* Conduct annual appraisals
* Weekly calls with the teams
* New starter probation reviews
* Set up of new entities and processes
* Resolve queries and escalations from the team
* EU VAT reclaim preparation
* Deal with EVP for new car orders
* Oversee end to end accounts receivable processing, including setting up new customers, sites, billing and setting up jobs
* Approve credit limits for new customers and approve credit notes for invoices
* Oversee the intercompany billing process
* Download daily bank reports for cash receipt processing
* Oversee end to end processes of timesheet approval
* Oversee end to end processes of expenses process
* Check and approve all payment runs
* Review all cash posting and payments and ensure all transactions are posted
* Support year end close activities and auditors requests
* Produce a 12 week cash flow from transactional side once a month for review by the financial controllers for 7 entities
* Monitor bank balances and cash flow
* Working closely with the Regional FC, continual review of departments processes and procedures to improve and make more efficient.
Candidates MUST have:
* A minimum of 5 years managing AP and AR teams (not either or)
* Studying towards an Accountancy qualification (ACCA or CIMA)
* Proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* Excellent organisational skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* A proven track record of developing teams
* NetSuite experience will be an advantage
* Strong Academics
Experience Requirements:
* Line management experience
* Minimum of 5 year’s experience in managerial roles.
