Kendal College is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join our forward-thinking Motor Vehicle Department.

Key facts

* Part-time, permanent: 22.2 hours per week (0.6 FTE)
* Salary: £18,000 to £22,000, depending on qualifications and experience

The successful candidate will have experience delivering high-quality teaching and learning. They will value creativity, technology, and innovative methodologies, fostering positive relationships within a supportive team environment. Strong organizational and IT skills are essential, along with adaptability to sector changes.

Experience in valet services and health and safety in the motor vehicle sector is desirable. Teaching experience is preferred, but support for obtaining a formal teaching qualification will be provided.

Candidate requirements

Qualifications

* A recognized teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one within 2 years
* Relevant industry qualifications
* English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE A*-C or equivalent)

Experience

* Recent teaching experience in FE/HE
* Experience in health and safety in the motor vehicle sector

Knowledge & Skills

* Effective communication and presentation skills
* Proficient IT skills for teaching and monitoring learning
* Effective classroom management and organizational skills
