Job DescriptionJob Title: Manufacturing Engineer - Improvement Lead - SubmarinesWorking Pattern: DaysWorking location: DerbyAn exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer - Improvement Lead role has arisen within the New Build & Components Business (NB&C), in Nuclear (Submarines).The successful candidate will lead Manufacturing Engineering Strategic Improvements to enable rate to hit SSNA drumbeat. The successful candidate will be required to work with a range of SMEs to help foster a Continuous Improvement, Zero Defect culture. The submarines business is going through a period of significant change, ramping up to deliver 3 times current production volume. These include bonus, employee support assistance and employee discounts.What you will be doing:With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following:Lead strategic improvements to drive SQCDP performance.Lead the application of Built in Quality Toolset across NB&CDefine, & Manage Execution of plan for application of Built- in-Quality toolset (PFD, CM, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA to existing productsAct as Local Subject Matter Expert for Built in QualityDefine standard toolsets & approach, reflecting current industry best practiseProvide Coaching & Support to wider PCO ME TeamDrive technical improvements in support of our Nuclear cultureWho we're looking for:At Rolls-Royce we embrace agility, are bold, pursue collaboration and seek simplicity in everything we do. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don't currently already have this in place.
