King’s Reach is a charity with over 20 years of experience supporting young people who others often find hard to reach. As a Christian Ethos charity our work is built on hope, love, and practical transformation. At the heart of our work is our Future Me programme - a unique approach that helps young people grow in confidence, gain life skills, and move towards independence.
The Role
As a Lifeskills Coach, you’ll support a young person to grow and develop within their Indepednace and Lifeskills you will:
1. Work 1-1 with male students taking responsibility for their growth journey.
2. Plan and deliver a wide range of sessions that assist the young person to develop in independance.
3. Support young people to reconnect with trusted adults and feel part of a community
4. Work closely with families and professionals to support the young persons progression
5. Create flexible plans that help students move forward at their own pace
6. Keep accurate records, track progress, and advocate for the young person’s needs
7. Be a consistent, calm and reliable presence in their lives - someone who doesn’t give up
8. Transport students from home to our sites and the local area, as well as to activities and sessions taking place in locations across Kent.
9. Can build trust with young people who may have experienced rejection or trauma
10. Is patient, calm, and able to listen without judgement
11. Is not afraid to challenge behaviours in a nurturing and supportive way.
12. Believes every young person has potential and can be the 'You Can' when the young person is not able to see their own potential
13. Has experience working with young people (aged 11–18+) in education, youth work, social care, or similar settings
14. Can work flexibly and travel around Kent as required
15. Has strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
16. Understands safeguarding and the importance of keeping young people safe
17. Is resilient and self-motivated to make a real difference.
