About this opportunity:
Ericsson is seeking a new addition to our team in the role of Field Manager. In this role, you will inspire and motivate a team of geographically dispersed field engineers working on multiple customer networks to consistently achieve service level agreements.You will support the development of your team using the available portfolio of support, including individual performance management, assessment, development courses, on the job training and individual coaching and support from you as a leader.Manage and promote Health and Safety in your own area promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring standards are met and maintained throughout.
What you will do:
* Effectively manage the resources and skills within your team to ensure sufficient resourcing of work across area of responsibility. To work flexibly and in collaboration with peers to creatively resource changing demands.
* Deliver results and achieve SLA/KPI performance on all customer networks, where necessary to follow up with breach and mitigation reports – to conduct analysis where appropriate and revised ways of working if will lead to improved performance.
* Escalate problems and expected challenges in good time to enable solutions to be implemented.
* Manage relationships with relevant stakeholders ensuring that message is clear and transparent, and action plans put in place to mitigate any risk.
* Ensure at all times that the Health and Safety is preserved of all employees and the general public.
* Manage performance concerns and implement plans for improvement.
* Ensure call out rotas and manning levels meet customer requirements.
The skills you bring:
* HND/ONC/C&G or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline Desirable.
* Demonstrable working knowledge of Mobile telecoms 2G/3G Essential.
* Demonstrable working knowledge of transmission systems Essentia.
* Proven experience of supervising a dispersed team Essential.
* Demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety within an operational environment Desirable.
* Experience in managing / leading a team.
