Job overview

Make a Real Difference in Delivering Safe and Effective Pharmacy Services

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Technical Officer to join our team as a Reception Co-ordinator in our busy, fast-paced Inpatient Dispensary.

In this vital front-facing role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff — providing exceptional customer service at the reception hatch and ensuring the smooth, efficient running of our dispensary, which supports all inpatient wards across the Trust.

If you’re a motivated, people-focused individual with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for improving patient care, we’d love to hear from you.

Join us and be part of a team that makes a difference every day.

Main duties of the job

Deliver excellent customer service coordinating the arrival and collection of work through the Inpatient Dispensary Reception area.

Manage all administrative duties, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.

Receive and process prescriptions, including handling prescription charges for Out-Patient prescriptions and Controlled Drug order books.

Handle telephone queries for the Inpatient Dispensary in a professional and timely manner.

Assist with stock management activities, including ordering, checking deliveries, and ensuring proper storage of all items (including refrigerated, frozen, and non-robotic stock).

Contribute to the timely loading of stock into the dispensary robot, maintaining accuracy and efficiency at all times.
