Position: Mechanical Building Services Engineer (Maintenance)\nType: Permanent\nSalary: £40,000 basic - Mon-Fri 40 hours per week\nLocation: Liverpool\n\nWe are recruiting for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Building Services) to work within an estates team in providing maintenance and repairs to mechanical plant room such as pressure systems, AHU's, HVAC, pumps/valves, commercial plumbing and associated kit. The role is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Mon-Fri. Circa £40,000 basic salary On call TBA.
Overtime available. Based in the Liverpool area.\n\nMechanical Maintenance Engineer Description:\n• To undertake a proactive role in carrying out maintenance, repairs and inspection of mechanical building services. All in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures and in compliance with legislation and guidance.\n• Represent in a respectful and professional manner.\n•Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical and associated building services in accordance with the PPM programme and personal competence and training.\n•Respond in a timely manner to ad-hoc breakdown requests as identified by supervisor / manager or as a minimum, as per site contract.\n•Assist in Carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.\n•Assist in Carrying out systematic fault finding in a logical and safe manner on malfunctioning equipment.\n•Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory and Company guidelines.\n•Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers’ guidelines.\n•Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health & safety and infection control procedures.\n•Maintain records as and when appropriate and as required, whether written or electronic.\n•Willingness to assist and work flexibly with other trades/colleagues.\n•After a qualifying period take part in the callout/standby rota.\n•Undertake training where necessary to learn other skills and to maintain and develop the requirements of the service.\n•Carry out risk assessments on-site as instructed by supervisor / manager.\n•Diligently complete all required job cards and other work-related paperwork to the required standard.\n•Complete work within the allotted timeframes.\n•Carry out any other identified tasks commensurate with role.\n\nQualifications or Required Experience Mechanical Maintenance: \n•Previously worked within a maintenance environment.\n•NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent\n•PPM & Reactive Work\n•Work on Plumbing Systems.\nAble to pass DBS checks\nPrevious experience of basic HVAC and cooling towers is advantageous\n\nIf you are interested then please click the APPLY button now\nPRS are a leading specialist recruitment and search & selection consultancy within the Building Services, FM and Support Sectors.\nPlease note if you have not heard from us within 5 days, then your application has not been successful.\nPRS is an equal opportunities employer
