Job Description
The Receptionist role is varied and engaging, involving continuous interaction with people in a Leisure Centre setting. The position offers the opportunity to utilize a diverse range of skills daily.
Primary Objectives
* Ensure all visitors receive friendly, polite, and efficient service.
* Create a positive first impression of the Leisure Centre.
* Maintain a good knowledge of the Leisure Centre's facilities and services.
Key Responsibilities
* Work individually or as part of a team to understand and meet customer needs.
* Provide warm, friendly, and professional customer care to foster loyalty.
* Assist with bookings and process payments for centre facilities.
* Handle telephone inquiries efficiently and professionally.
* Assist customers with social media platforms, including the website and app.
* Manage customer entry, issue receipts, and control access.
* Enforce health and safety policies and report concerns to management.
* Follow financial procedures for cash handling and reconciliation.
* Operate communication systems, such as the public address system and telephones.
* Communicate messages effectively to the team.
* Follow procedures for new gym memberships and swimming lessons.
* Operate front-of-house booking systems and process payments.
* Promote resale and hire items.
* Handle customer complaints and comments according to company procedures.
* Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area.
* Perform any other duties necessary for the Centre's operation.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above, or similar; RSA Level 1 or equivalent.
