We are looking for a highly motivated
Research Scientist in Peptide Chemistry
to join our R&D team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, synthesis, purification, and analysis of peptides, as well as supporting method development and optimisation activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a scientist with a background in peptide chemistry to contribute to the advancement of long-acting injectable medicines and gain experience in a dynamic biopharmaceutical environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and perform peptide synthesis using
solid-phase (SPPS)
and/or
solution-phase (LPPS)
methods
* Optimise synthesis conditions to improve yield and reduce impurities
* Purify peptides using
preparative HPLC
* Carry out post-synthesis modifications, including
ion-exchange
and
conjugation
* Analyse products using
HPLC, LC-MS,
and other complementary techniques
* Accurately document laboratory procedures and prepare detailed research reports
* Collaborate closely with
R&D, Quality Control (QC),
and other cross-functional teams
* Contribute to the development and validation of methods for synthesis, purification, and analysis
Qualifications
* BSc, MSc, or PhD
in
Chemistry (preferably Organic or Medicinal Chemistry), Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences,
or a closely related discipline
* Practical experience in
peptide synthesis
(SPPS/LPPS)
* Strong knowledge of
preparative HPLC
and analytical techniques (HPLC, LC-MS)
* High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills in a laboratory environment
* Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative research team
* Familiarity with
GMP/GLP principles
