This is a full-time, on‑site position for a warehouse manager located in Manchester. The everyday activities of the warehouse, such as stock and inventory control, proper record-keeping, and the supervision of incoming and outgoing items, will fall within the purview of the warehouse manager. In order to guarantee effective supply‑chain procedures, the position also entails managing warehouse employees, planning shifts, upholding safety regulations, and streamlining operational workflows. To achieve company objectives and guarantee the smooth operation of the warehouse, you will work together across departments.
Key Qualifications
* Demonstrated supervisory expertise in a logistics or warehouse setting
* Strong grasp of supply‑chain management, warehouse operations, and logistics
* Expertise with AS400, ERP systems, transportation management tools, and warehouse management systems (WMS)
* Knowledge of process improvement techniques like Six Sigma or Lean
* Familiarity with transport management systems (TMS) and 3PL alliances
* Proficiency in securely operating forklift trucks; appropriate certification is preferred
* Outstanding organisational abilities and the capacity to successfully handle several responsibilities
* Analytical thinking and the capacity to evaluate profit and loss information in order to make strategic decisions
* Excellent communication abilities to manage groups and work across departments
