Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit full-time SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of educational settings in the Liverpool area from September 2025. These include:
* Mainstream schools
* SEN schools
* Alternative provisions (APs)
* Pupil referral units (PRUs)
We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds. You might be:
An experienced SEN Teaching Assistant
From a residential care, youth work, or sports coaching background
A Psychology graduate eager to apply your theoretical understanding in a practical setting
Someone with a genuine desire to support young people with social, emotional, or behavioural needs
Your Role Will Include:
* Providing one-to-one or small group support for students with special educational needs
* Helping manage behaviour and promote positive learning experiences
* Assisting the class teacher and working closely with SENCOs and other support staff
* Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
Essential Requirements:
* A proactive, compassionate, and adaptable approach
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Experience supporting children or young people (formal or informal)
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential to work in schools)
