With a technical yet personable approach, you'll inspire the pharmacy team around you, ensuring our standards reflect our care for patients. Legally and ethically, we aim to provide the best service. Accuracy and care are central to this role, which involves delivering the safe and effective operation of the pharmacy and healthcare business, and leading the dispensary's daily activities. You will be an expert in the technical aspects of medicine supply while delivering excellent patient care. Guiding and supporting your pharmacy team and collaborating with the Pharmacist and Store Leader, you'll influence the growth of our business.
Daily Responsibilities include:
* Making legal, safe, and ethical decisions in the pharmacy.
* Achieving targets for item and service income.
* Adhering to legal, professional, and professional practice guidelines in Boots.
* Engaging with customers to ensure they leave informed and confident about their healthcare, coaching team members similarly.
* Seeking opportunities to collaborate with external stakeholders to secure local services and promote offerings.
* Ensuring efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.
* Ordering medicines, labeling, dispensing, endorsing, and checking prescriptions.
Qualifications & Career Development:
We offer an exciting career path. You should have an NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Completion of a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) or equivalent is required to work within our dispensaries. Opportunities to become an Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) are available, with training and support provided.
