An opportunity has arisen for 2 part‑time clerical officers, one mornings/one afternoons, to join the admin team at Cowal Community Hospital, Dunoon. These posts will be located within the Extended Community Care Team to support effective clinical care by providing an efficient administrative service to patients, medical, nursing and AHP staff.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a team, providing excellent communication, organisational and keyboard skills.
* Take calls to the service as a single point of access, maintaining a calm and pleasant manner.
* Work independently, demonstrate initiative and be able to work well under pressure.
* Support the department’s flexible approach to meet changing needs.
Qualifications
* Good educational background with proven work experience in a similar role.
* Typing skills to the equivalent of ECDL/SVQ2.
* Knowledge of medical terminology and previous NHS experience desirable but not necessary.
* Ability to work well under pressure and initiate independent work.
