About Your Role
We are looking for an Associate Director to act as a technical lead on our projects and deliver a wide range of exciting local authority projects in the UK. Liveable Places works with local authorities and private clients across the UK to achieve place‑making ambitions, delivering schemes from concept to delivery that include public realm, highway engineering, inclusive design, traffic engineering, road safety, traffic signals, pedestrian/traffic modelling, active travel and parking. The team has successful projects with Westminster City Council, West Sussex County Council, East Sussex County Council, Leeds City Council, Cambridgeshire County Council, and many others. The role offers the opportunity to develop your career through diverse experiences and play a pivotal role in steering the growth of Liveable Places.
Responsibilities
This role will lead and manage project teams, successfully deliver projects, maintain financial control and engage with stakeholders including public sector officials, members of the public, and senior colleagues.
Qualifications
* A civil engineering degree or equivalent
* Chartered membership of a relevant professional body
* Proven ability to lead and manage project teams and individuals
* Proven ability to successfully deliver projects
* Proven track record in project management and financial control
* Passion for mentoring and developing talent
* Highway, transport, traffic signals and road safety engineering experience
* Excellent ability to engage with stakeholders including public sector officials, members of the public and other senior colleagues
