Job Description A new and exciting opportunity has arisen in the Fostering Team. We are recruiting a Senior Supervising Social Worker to take the lead on ensuring we are meeting the needs of our growing population of Connected Carers. (Family members or friends approved as foster carers for a specific child or children e.g. grandparents or aunts and uncles.) We Are Looking For Experienced Social Workers Who Are passionate about supporting children to remain in their family network and recognise the positive impact this can have on their wellbeing and outcomes. Understand the specific needs of Connected Carers and how these needs could be met within a fostering setting. Have a proven track record of working collaboratively with others to ensure the best outcomes for children and a creative approach to problem solving. Are confident communicators able to manage competing demands This Senior Supervising Social Work Role Will Include Supervising Connected Foster Carers Offering advice and support on common issues affecting Connected foster carers both within and outside of the Fostering Service. Taking the lead on the development of specific training and support needs of Connected Carers Keeping up to date with research around Connected carers and linking to local and national Kinship organisations.
