DUTIES Your duties as the Production Operative / Assembly Operative include: Product Assembly: Assemble cases and rack systems in line with drawings, specifications, and work instructions Component Fitting: Install hardware such as handles, hinges, catches, and fixings Tool Operation: Use hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively Quality Checks: Inspect finished products for accuracy, finish, and compliance with standards Order Completion: Ensure all production tasks are completed on time to meet deadlines Defect Reporting: Identify and report faults, damaged materials, or missing components Packing and Dispatch: Prepare completed items for safe packaging and dispatch Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all procedures, use PPE, and maintain safe working practices Workstation Maintenance: Keep the workspace clean, organised, and safe Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and support other departments when required CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL: Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment Ability to use hand tools and follow technical drawings or instructions Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity Ability to work to targets and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Good literacy and numeracy skills Reliable with strong timekeeping and attendance DESIRABLE: Experience assembling engineered products such as cases or racks Familiarity with basic power tools including drills, rivet guns, and drivers Experience working within quality-controlled or ISO environments A practical, hands-on approach with a positive attitude Strong teamwork and communication skills BENEFITS Competitive salary paid weekly On-the-job training and support Stable, long-term employment 20 - 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Quarterly discretionary bonuses Company pension scheme Training and development opportunities On-site parking HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
