Based in our Milton Keynes office (with hybrid working—3 days onsite), this is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative, innovative environment where you’ll play a central role in enabling high‑performing Agile teams.
About the Role
As a Scrum Master, you’ll support one or more of our development teams—facilitating Agile practices, removing obstacles, and championing a culture of continuous improvement and psychological safety. You’ll work closely with Product Owners, Developers, QA Engineers, and wider stakeholders to enable predictable, transparent, and high‑quality delivery.
This role reports to our Lead Scrum Master and sits at the heart of engineering and product delivery at SIS.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Facilitating core Scrum ceremonies: daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
* Partnering with Product Owners to refine and prioritise backlogs.
* Identifying and removing impediments to keep teams moving smoothly.
* Fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Encouraging cross‑team communication across engineering, product, and operations.
* Tracking and communicating delivery progress using metrics like velocity and burndown charts.
* Promoting Agile values and principles across teams and stakeholders.
* Supporting the wider Agile community at SIS through coaching and recommending best practices.

* Strong collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Scrum Master within software development environments.
* Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks—Scrum and Kanban in particular.
* Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.
* Hands‑on experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
* Understanding of modern engineering practices like CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud‑native delivery.
* Experience working with Java‑based applications and Azure cloud services (nice to have).
