The Role
The APS 4 Logistics Officer is an integral member of the Warehousing and Distribution team at Joint Logistics Unit (South). You will work within an integrated team of Australian Public Service (APS) and Australian Defence Force (ADF) members to support and assist with the following logistic functions:
1. Conduct monitoring of group tasking or requests to the unit.
2. Direct support and reporting to the Logistics Support Officer.
3. Assist or action warehousing & distribution inquiries from regional dependencies.
4. Assist with oversight of warehouse and distribution functions, ensuring timely responses to requests or support requirements.
5. Assist operations and dependencies within the region requiring Warehouse and Distribution support.

Joint Logistics Unit (South) is an integrated workforce providing varying levels of Warehousing, Distribution and Maintenance logistical services to Defence in South Australia. Under Logistics Operations Branch, our joint team of Military, Commonwealth and Industry Partner Contractors deliver support from multiple sites at Edinburgh and our extended regional areas. Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will be an experienced logistician with the capability to take role ownership and be a subject matter expert within Joint Supply Chains. The role will be best suited to someone whom has:
6. Experience in a similar role, particularly logistics, warehousing, inventory and supply chain management.
7. Experience in supporting delivery service contracts that require collaboration and relationship management to achieve outcomes.
8. Demonstrated level of high quality written and verbal communication.
