Electronic Design Engineer – Defence
Location – Hertfordshire (relocation package may be available)
Salary – Up to £48,000 DoE, plus a comprehensive benefits package
Hours / Working pattern – 37 hours, typically 2-3 days a week on site
Copello are working with a leading organisation in the defence sector, recruiting for an Electronic Design Engineer to support the delivery of high-value, complex programmes.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced electronics professional with a background in analogue and digital design, looking to work across the full product lifecycle in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
The Role
As an Analogue and Digital Electronic Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Designing and developing board-level electronics, including schematic capture, prototyping, and functional testing
* Ensuring robust designs using techniques such as circuit simulation and DFMEA
* Supporting product development from feasibility through to production handover, including validation and quality assurance
* Collaborating with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electronics within products
* Contributing to research and continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Experience in analogue and digital electronic design, development, and delivery
* Knowledge of a wide range of electronic technologies and products
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
* Eligibility for, or current possession of, security clearance (British citizen or dual national with British citizenship)
