The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bill of Material (BOM) Controller with experience managing and maintaining product BOMs, especially regarding variant complexity. The ideal candidate will understand change management processes, have experience using SAP, and support cross-functional teams by providing accurate BOM analysis.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain and update material BOMs in SAP, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
2. Implement approved Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) within BOMs.
3. Manage and monitor multiple product variants, ensuring proper structuring and classification.
4. Compare and analyze BOMs across variants to identify commonality and differences.
5. Assess and document the complexity introduced by new or updated product variants.
6. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Change Management teams to provide BOM insights.
7. Create and validate accurate change tickets through BOM analysis.
8. Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance BOM structure and process efficiency.
Personal Specification
* 1–3 years of relevant experience in BOM management, ideally within the Automotive industry.
* Familiarity with motorcycles or motorcycle components is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in SAP (Material Master, BOM, Change Management).
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and variant complexities in a fast-paced environment.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong collaboration abilities.
* Experience with engineering documentation and change control processes is a plus.
