For one of our clients, a rapidly growing company located in Heathrow, specializing in the marketing and distribution of Italian food products, we are looking for a SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to operate and further develop the operations in the UK market.
As the Senior Business Development Manager of this highly profitable and cash-positive firm with ambitious growth plans, your main responsibility will be to develop the UK branch’s sales team while supporting the Chief Business Development Officer in executing the business strategy.
The company generates revenue exceeding £7 million and has experienced double-digit growth in the last few years.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
* Overseeing and managing the sales team's development, identifying growth levers, and maximizing the output of the sales activity.
* Crafting commercial strategies and plans, setting individual goals, and reviewing the performance of the team members.
* Actively participating in the customer acquisition phase. Leading and expanding new clients across the Ho.Re.Ca. channel (direct clients and distributors). Involvement in sales demos with selected prospects.
* Networking and building relationships with existing and potential clients to grow and retain the customer base.
* Networking with partners and stakeholders and actively participating in trade fairs.
* Discuss quarterly results with the Chief Business Development Officer.
WHO YOU ARE:
* Proven experience in Business Development, Sales Representative or Sales roles (5-10 yrs), ideally with sounding experience in the Ho.Re.Ca. and distribution channels within the food and beverage industry.
* Result-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
* Data-driven approach; you combine business acumen with data to achieve your goals.
* Passionate, optimistic, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and with a hands-on approach.
* Team-leader, you can involve, empower and lead the team toward the objectives.
* Fluency in English (proficiency in other languages is a plus, preferably Italian but not mandatory)
WHAT WE OFFER:
* A yearly gross compensation of £ 55k/60k DOE
* Performance bonus up to 20% to be discussed with the management
