We are working with a dynamic, medium-sized design consultancy based in Leicester, specializing in both residential and commercial projects. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting our engineers in delivering high-quality designs and detailed drawings for both residential and commercial projects. You will be part of a friendly, professional environment where teamwork and development are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
* Produce detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.
* Assist in the preparation of structural design reports and calculations.
* Work closely with Structural Engineers to develop accurate and efficient design solutions.
* Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
* Contribute to the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
* Support the project team in site visits, surveys, and inspections as needed.
* Maintain project records and documentation.
Candidate Profile:
* HND/HNC in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Experience in residential and commercial projects within a consultancy setting.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit is highly desirable.
* Good understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* A keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of British Standards and Eurocodes is advantageous.
* Experience in BIM processes would be a plus.
