As Engineering Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of engineering performance, from people development and compliance through to reliability improvement and cost control.
You'll lead a skilled team, ensuring that engineering systems, processes, and culture are aligned with both business goals and legislative standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop the engineering team to build capability, engagement, and performance.
Ensure full compliance with all engineering-related legislation, health & safety, and site standards.
Oversee PPM strategy, reliability improvement, and root cause analysis to maximise equipment uptime.
Manage engineering budgets, cost control, and capital investment planning.
Develop and report on key engineering KPIs - including performance, downtime, reliability, and efficiency.
Drive training and development programmes to maintain a high-skilled, multi-disciplined workforce.
Lead engineering projects, shutdown planning, and long-term maintenance strategies.
Foster strong relationships across Production, Quality, and H&S teams to deliver aligned objectives.
You will need
Engineering qualification, Degree or equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
Proven experience leading an engineering function within manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environments.
Strong understanding of engineering legislation, compliance, and auditing processes.
Skilled in budget management, planning, and delivering against key performance targets.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
