Term time only: No

Salary Type: Bucks pay

Salary details: Bucks Pay Range 5-6 (£33,518 to £39,876) depending on experience)

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week/52 weeks per year. There is annual holiday entitlement starting at 22 days per year plus a good pension scheme

About us

Judged to be a Good School by Ofsted in April 2024, we are a mixed, non-selective 11-18 Foundation secondary school situated in the market town of Aylesbury and ten minutes from the Chiltern Hills – an area of outstanding natural beauty. We are close to Oxford, High Wycombe and Milton Keynes and surrounded by delightful market towns and characterful villages. The students and staff at The Grange School make it a fantastic place to work. Our students are friendly and confident and we strive to ensure that they achieve the success that they deserve. ‘We are looking for a Site Manager who would be responsible for all aspects of the site, buildings, facilities and grounds management, ensuring the highest levels of security, health and safety, statutory compliance, repairs, maintenance and cleanliness.’

This includes:
• Effective management of the caretaking and in-house school cleaning staff
• Supervision of external contractors, and external site users
• Site development and maintenance planning in conjunction with the Business Manager
• Proactively carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs, cleaning, refurbishment, and porterage
• Effective and efficient budgetary management
• Identifying cost reduction initiatives

About you

It is expected that the post holder will have the capacity to structure their own work according to the duties described. This may be broken down into daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks for example.
