Specialist Community Disability Service
We have an opportunity for a full-time Social Worker to join the Specialist Community Disability Service (SCDS). We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to work with adults with disabilities.
The team provides social work services including the duty and intake service, care planning within a multi-disciplinary context, Care Act assessments and reviews, application of the Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty safeguards, and Court of Protection applications. We also support individuals with Direct Payments and Personal Budgets.
The successful candidate will:
* Manage their own caseload with support from their supervisor/manager
* Work effectively within an integrated multi-agency setting
* Support service development and change
* Support and develop other staff
* Have knowledge of statutory roles and responsibilities
* Experience with disabilities is advantageous but not essential
* Be keen to develop their knowledge and skills in disabilities

Additional information
Your salary will be pro-rata if less than 37 hours or if working term-time only. We support flexible working and employee wellbeing. Travel to your designated office is at your own expense.
