An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Senior / Qualified Accountant with a proven track record in private practice for a busy Chartered Accountants office near Paisley. The firm is independently owned and has seen significant growth in recent years with a strong reputation and value for delivering and be passionate about the service and advice offered to clients.

Main duties and responsibilities:-
* Preparing sole trader, partnership and Limited Company accounts to a high standard and ensuring compliance with FRS102 Section 1A and FRS105 UK standards,
* Preparing management accounts from trial balance stage within tight deadlines and development of bespoke reporting packs for clients where needed,
* Preparing and reviewing VAT returns including partial exemption,
* Preparing corporation tax computations and CT600 returns
* Preparing self -assessment tax returns and having suitable general personal tax experience including Capital Gains Tax.
* Managing client relationships,
* Promoting development of younger team members and reviewing work and providing review feedback.
Skills and Experience:
At least three years experience in a similar role most likely from a small or medium sized practice thus allowing a broad range of experience and knowledge to be brought to the role.
* Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as Xero, FreeAgent & Iris.
* Good technical knowledge both in accounting standards, disclosure and tax associated with OMB and comfortable with dealing with HMRC,
* Personable, warm and confident personality with a positive can do attitude,
* Eligibility to work in the UK,
* Membership of a UK Chartered Accountancy Body,
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with staff and clients at all levels effectively,
* Creative approach to problem solving and ability to balance initiative with seeking help.
This role is fully office based, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm).
