Overview
We are looking for a General Manager for a wonderful premium lifestyle club on the outskirts of Kent/Southeast London with lots of potential. The club champions junior and adult members to be more active and has a real sense of community hosting regular events.
Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, develop and inspire your team, fostering a culture of service excellence and drive for results.
* Support your department heads deliver a best in class offering to ensure the right products are seamlessly delivered at the right time to maximise participation and secondary spend.
* Work closely with the Membership department to develop the proactive sales strategy.
* Develop and grow a calendar of events for members and non-members to enjoy.
* Full financial accountability; profit and loss, income, expenditure, debtors; helping set the budgets and business plan.
* Ensure the property and grounds are well maintained, clean and safe at all times.
* Well-groomed, highly personable and professional with outstanding hospitality skills.
* Hands-on and strategic approach to leadership with an ownership mentality and entrepreneurial flair.
* Flexible to work a mixture of hours to suit the needs of the business including weekends during peak periods.
Qualifications
* At least 3 years' leadership experience as a General Manager/ Club Manager preferably within a membership environment such as hospitality, hotels, leisure, fitness, racquets or golf.
* Experience of overseeing a busy food and beverage operation.
* Experience in managing a sales function and growing sales.
