Band 3 Administrator
Location: Musgrave Park Hospital
Pay: £ per hour
Hours: per week
Working Days: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9am-5pm
Job Summary
The post holder will be required to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Hospital Social Work Team and work collaboratively with Community Social Work, the Community Discharge Team and Senior Managers. The post holder will also be the first point of contact for the team, liaising with professional staff and other stakeholders, making calls and answering enquiries.
Duties
1. Supporting the Admin Lead in delivering a high-quality administrative service
2. Managing and processing referrals for additional funding and temporary placement beds
3. Monitoring the Care Home Bed Tracker mailbox and following established protocols
4. Building great working relationships with Care Home Managers and Social Work teams
5. Handling queries around referrals, bed availability and criteria
6. Making daily calls to Nursing and Residential Homes and preparing clear availability reports
7. Keeping track of Care Home outbreaks
8. Sending assessments to Care Homes and following up on referral progress
9. Updating and maintaining client spreadsheets to ensure accurate information

Essential Criteria
Candidates must meet one of the following:
10. 4 GCSEs including English (A-C) or equivalent and 2 years' admin/clerical experience
OR
11. NVQ Level 2 in Administration plus GCSE English (A-C) or equivalent and 1 year admin/clerical experience
OR
12. 3 years' experience in an administrative role
Desirable Qualities
13. Quick to learn and able to retain important information
14. Someone who takes ownership and sees tasks through
15. Willing to take on further training
16. Strong organisational and planning skills
