Overview
An exciting opportunity for a full time, permanent Band 7 Macmillan Acute Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist has arisen within the team that cover the Oxford Road and North Manchester General Hospital sites.
The post holder will play a key role in the Acute Oncology Team and in the delivery of acute oncology services throughout the Trust in patient services and through out-patient clinics. The post holder will provide early input of specialist care to oncology patients and will work alongside other clinical colleagues in oncology, palliative care, ED, acute medicine, radiology and pathology to ensure quality of care to the patients is maximised. This will include the development of clinical guidelines and education programmes. The post holder will be expected to cross cover and work between the Oxford Road Campus (ORC) and North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH) sites.

Responsibilities
* Provide early input of specialist care to oncology patients within the Acute Oncology Team.
* Deliver acute oncology services in patient services and through out-patient clinics.
* Advise on and implement patient care in an area requiring specific clinical knowledge, skills and experience.
* Collaborate with oncology, palliative care, ED, acute medicine, radiology and pathology teams to maximise quality of care.
* Develop clinical guidelines and education programmes.
* Cross-cover and work between ORC and NMGH sites.
