Personal Assistant / Support Worker Ref: ES1723 Location: Eastbourne Details This role is to support a Child Drivers licence required: Preferred Hours per week: Flexible support up to 6 hrs a week Hourly pay rate: £12.71 per hour - We are looking for a reliable personal assistant to provide support to our 16 year old son and enable short periods of respite. The role is to encourage independence in daily living skills as well as supporting him with fun activities such as baking, playing board games and role play. As part of our son's care he needs support with doing therapies at home including physiotherapy exercises and sensory play. This year we have National Trust membership so joining family outings to support with activities would be very helpful. - Duties include: - Other relevant duties as required - Housekeeping - Cooking - Transportation - Companionship - Evening supervision while parents go out - Participating in baking, playing board games and role play - Support to attend Riding for the Disabled - Joining with family activities to provide extra support - Support to attend swimming Candidate qualities: - Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality - Reliable with good timekeeping - Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative - Hygienic, tidy and well organised - Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties - Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills - Honest and cheerful - Creative - Able to always work to high standards of health & safety Additional requirements Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours Notes: All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.
