Trainee Service Engineer
Location: Telford - Site-based initially, then UK-wide travel
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, days only

The Role
We are looking to recruit a Trainee Service Engineer to join our growing service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in engineering, with extensive training and development provided.
You will initially be based at our site, working closely alongside a senior engineer to learn our machinery, systems, and processes. As your skills develop, you will progress to visiting customer sites across the UK to support installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding activities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist senior engineers with the installation, servicing, and maintenance of industrial machinery
Learn to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
Support machinery commissioning at customer sites
Carry out routine servicing and inspections
Accurately complete service reports and documentation
Maintain high standards of health & safety at all times
Training & Development
Structured on-the-job training
Hands-on mentoring from experienced engineers
Gradual progression to independent customer site work
Ongoing technical development as your experience grows
The Ideal Candidate
Interest in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics)
NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification
Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
Good problem-solving ability and a practical mindset
Comfortable with UK-wide travel once fully trained
Full UK driving licence (or working towards)
