Job Summary
Jered - Marine system Technology, a PAR Company, focuses on providing global naval marine customers with complex naval marine door systems, hatches and cutting-edge fire-resistant panel systems. Due to business growth, we are seeking an Assistant Buyer to join our friendly and dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the purchasing process by assisting with supplier negotiations, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the timely procurement of goods. This position requires strong administrative, problem solving and communication skills along with an understanding of supply chain logistics.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the procurement of goods and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with suppliers, confirming delivery and problem solve logistical issues.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock replenishment to maintain optimal supply levels.
* Utilise MRP system
* Administration duties including, process order confirmations, dispatch notes and KPI data
Requirements
* Proficiency in ERP system or MRP system
* Strong communication and problem solving skills .
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Familiarity with purchasing principles within a manufacturing industry is preferred.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Study support is available to obtain or further upskill SIPS qualifications
Salary range up to circa £32,785
The role is based in Winsford, Cheshire, full time hours Mon-Thurs 7.30am-4.30pm and Friday 7.30am-1.30pm with hybrid work available after probation along with a 9 day fortnight working pattern option.
