Job Title: Restaurant Manager
Location: Richmond Village Northampton, Bridge Meadow Way, NN4 5EB
Salary: £29,220.80 per annum (per year)
Contract: Permanent – Full Time, 40hrs
Shift Pattern: Various – shifts between 8am to 8pm, with weekend requirement
Overview
We are looking for a passionate, driven hospitality leader to manage front‑of‑house operations at Richmond Village Northampton. This role leads a high‑performing team, drives quality dining experiences, and ensures residents feel welcome in a community‑focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and optimise staff rotas, ensuring effective cover while working within agreed budgets.
* Recruit, develop, and lead a high‑performance front‑of‑house team aligned with Richmond Village’s standards.
* Oversee daily restaurant operations, delivering exceptional experiences across dining, bar, and room service.
* Plan and execute events and functions, maximizing use of village spaces to drive engagement and revenue.
* Build relationships with local businesses and organisations to increase external bookings and revenue.
* Collaborate with marketing to promote events, functions, and dining experiences.
* Monitor competitor activity and support pricing strategies to maintain commercial competitiveness.
* Coordinate with kitchen and wider teams for seamless service and consistent guest experience.
* Manage dietary, allergen, and alternative meal requirements safely and effectively.
Key Skills / Qualifications
* Proven experience managing a hospitality or catering team.
* Holder of CIEH Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety (or equivalent).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a person‑centred approach.
* Organised, flexible, professional, and a team player capable of working independently.
* Demonstrated ability to lead by example and deliver an excellent hospitality experience.
* Will undertake a DBS check (cost covered by Bupa).
