Finance Controller | Luxury Events Agency | London | Hybrid
Location: London, Full-Time, 3-4 days a week in the office
Salary: £70,000-£80,000

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a prestigious luxury events and design firm. This business is one of the most-highly sought after, premium brands widely recognised to deliver highly creative, elegant, perfectly orchestrated events for their clients.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a hands-on, senior finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment. Working closely with the Founder and delivery teams, you’ll take full ownership of finance, introduce structure where it’s needed, and help build the financial foundations that will support the company’s scaling ambitions.
This role would highly suit a robust and dependable Financial Controller with past experience of working in luxury or boutique firms within Events, TV & Film, Design or Creative Agencies.
The Role
We’re looking for Finance Controller who enjoys balancing day-to-day financial operations with bigger-picture thinking. You’ll play a central role in tightening processes, improving reporting, and providing clear insight to support commercial decision-making.
This role will relatively autonomous with day to day support from a junior bookkeeper.
Responsibilities:
* Own day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, reconciliations, payments, and project cost tracking.
* Improve and maintain financial processes, systems, and reporting frameworks to support scalable growth.
* Manage cash flow, forecasting, budgeting, and visibility of financial performance across the business.
* Produce clear management accounts, dashboards, and profitability insights for the leadership team.
* Review project and event performance, highlighting risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
* Strengthen financial controls and promote accountability across teams.
* Support and train non-finance staff to ensure consistent adoption of financial workflows and best practice.
What our client needs to see
* A qualified or QBE Accountant
* A background in SME businesses
* A proven Finance Manager or Financial Controller
* Strong grounding in project-level: budgeting and cashflow management
* Advanced spreadsheet skills and confidence working with modern finance systems.
* The ability to build rapport and effectively consult with creatives
A huge bonus if you have:
* Experience in providing commercial guidance and strengthening project margins through analysis
* A background in Events, TV & Film, Design, Creative Agencies.
