Behaviour and Engagement Lead
Locations: Thrapston
Yearly salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Employment Term: Permanent
Employment Type: Full Time
Contracted Hours: 8:30 till 17:00

Teaching Personnel have a great opportunity to work with an Alternative provision school in Thrapston. The school caters for KS3-KS4 students with SEMH needs.


Role and Responsibilities

* Create a culture of positive behaviour and support staff with student engagement.
* Individual mentoring of students regarding behaviour and leading the staff team to have clear structured intervention plans.
* Visible presence in class and around the site to assist staff with behaviour and to create a positive learning environment.
* Take the lead on positive points and rewards system.
* Lead the school's community outreach program through engagement projects, work experience opportunities and character development.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

* Experience of leading in pastoral areas within education.
* Experience of leading behavioural expectations of student provisions.


Preferred Skills

* Experience working with children and young people in an educational setting.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation (SEND Code of Practice, safeguarding, GDPR).
* Familiarity with zones of regulation or similar interventions.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
* Use of assistive technology/adaptive equipment.
* Child-centred and inclusive approach.
* Creative and adaptable in problem-solving.
