Senior Product Manager
Location: Herefordshire (preferred but flexible on location depending on experience). The role supports a hybrid/remote work arrangement with periodic travel throughout the UK.
Role Objective
With a new project underway to offer fire‑rated windows and doors, the company seeks an experienced construction industry professional to spearhead the project's growth over the next several years, managing 3rd‑party suppliers/customers and expanding the existing accessories portfolio.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of the department, the Senior Product Manager will play an integral part in the company’s Window Division and be responsible for product management of current and future ranges, specifically bought‑in system accessories and fire‑rated window and door products.
Your Duties Will Include
* Working on commercial topics such as strategy development, pricing, market research, compliance, stock management, sales analysis, and new product launches.
* Product management of system accessories including hinges, handles, locks and internal steel components.
* Development and product management of the new fire door and fire window portfolio.
* Supporting the UK sales team in promoting a diverse range of fenestration products.
* Dealing with internal and external stakeholders: suppliers, purchasing/supply chain, sales and marcomms.
* Working in conjunction with a team member within system accessories (no line management in this role).
* Ensuring the business continues to grow in a profitable and sustainable manner through the consistent implementation of the UK strategy by the team.
* Travel throughout the UK, 1:2 times per week.
* Occasional trips to the company’s testing facility in Europe.
The Successful Senior Product Manager Will Demonstrate
* Previous experience of product management within the construction or fenestration industry.
* Experience and working knowledge of fire‑rated construction products, including application and legislative requirements (highly desirable).
* Educated to degree level; HND standard is ideal, or qualified through experience.
* Experience of creating business plans, data analysis and spotting future trends.
* Ability to adapt to complex business situations and market requirements.
* Structured approach to work.
* Focused, analytical mind.
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (essential).
